Drone Roof Inspection
Safe, detailed roof inspections without anyone climbing on your roof. High-resolution imagery captures every square foot, and optional thermal scanning detects hidden moisture and leaks.

Commercial: $500 – $2,000
On-site time: 20–90 minutes
Optional: Thermal leak detection
Why Drone Roof Inspections?
Drones eliminate the risk of roof access while providing more comprehensive visual documentation than a traditional walk-over inspection.
No One Climbs Your Roof
Drones eliminate the safety risk and liability of roof access. No ladders, no harnesses, no potential damage to roofing materials from foot traffic.
Complete Visual Coverage
Every square foot of the roof captured in high resolution, including angles and details impossible to see from a ladder or ground inspection.
Thermal Leak Detection
Optional thermal imaging detects moisture intrusion, insulation gaps, and active leaks beneath the surface — before they become visible inside.
Insurance & Documentation
Detailed photo reports support insurance claims, pre-purchase inspections, and maintenance planning with timestamped, geo-referenced imagery.
Inspection Applications
- Residential roof condition assessments
- Commercial flat roof inspections
- Insurance claim documentation for storm/hail damage
- Pre-purchase property inspection support
- Roofing contractor bid verification and scope documentation
- Gutter and drainage system inspection
- HVAC and rooftop equipment condition surveys
- Post-storm damage assessment and triage
Roof Inspection FAQs
Can a drone replace a physical roof inspection?
For visual condition assessment, drone inspections provide superior coverage to walking the roof — every square foot is documented in high resolution. For moisture detection, thermal imaging identifies problem areas. However, if physical probing or core sampling is needed, a roofer must access the roof.
What does the inspection report include?
Standard reports include high-resolution photos of the entire roof surface, close-ups of any defects or damage identified, an annotated condition summary, and optional thermal imaging showing temperature anomalies. Reports are delivered as a PDF with all imagery referenced.
How long does a roof inspection take?
Residential roofs typically take 20-40 minutes on-site. Commercial flat roofs may take 1-2 hours depending on size and complexity. Thermal inspections may require flying at dawn/dusk for optimal temperature differentials.
Can you inspect commercial roofs?
Yes. We inspect commercial flat roofs (TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, metal) including membrane condition, seam integrity, flashing, drainage, and rooftop equipment. Thermal scanning is particularly valuable for flat roofs to detect subsurface moisture.
